Q1: Can the cartridge be cleaned and reused?
No, the coalescing cartridge is a single-use consumable and is not recommended for cleaning and reuse. Washing or chemical backwashing will damage the microscopic fiber structure and surface treatment of the glass or polyester media, causing irreversible loss of coalescing efficiency and potential fiber shedding, which may contaminate downstream systems. To reduce operating costs, we suggest installing a pre-filter upstream to protect and extend the service life of the main coalescing cartridge.
Q2: How can I ensure the cartridge fits perfectly with my existing housing?
We offer standard industrial sizes (e.g., API 1581-compliant) and also accept custom designs per your drawings or housing dimensions. To guarantee a proper fit, please provide the following: housing internal mounting dimensions, thread type/size, seal groove location, and flow direction (inside-out or outside-in). We will perform a one-to-one engineering verification to ensure trouble-free installation.
Q3: Will the cartridge performance degrade under high-temperature conditions?
Yes, prolonged exposure to high temperatures accelerates media aging. Our standard glass fiber cartridges have a maximum continuous operating temperature of 120 ℃, and polyester fiber 80 ℃. For high-temperature services, we recommend stainless steel wire-reinforced or all-sintered metal fiber cartridges, which can withstand up to 350 ℃. Please be sure to specify your maximum continuous operating temperature during selection to ensure both performance and longevity.
