The replacement schedule should be based on both performance indicators and operating hours. The most reliable metric is the differential pressure (Delta P) across the element; when the pressure drop reaches the manufacturer's recommended limit (typically between 0.7 to 1.0 bar), the element is saturated and must be replaced. Additionally, if downstream fluid quality degrades (e.g., visible liquid carryover) or if the element reaches its maximum recommended service life (e.g., 4,000 to 8,000 hours), immediate replacement is advised to prevent system contamination.
