A coalescer filter element is used to separate free water and emulsified water from oil or fuel. Its core principle is: as the oil-water mixture passes through a specially treated glass fiber coalescing layer, tiny water droplets are captured by the fibers and coalesce into large droplets. These large droplets then settle by gravity into a collection area, while a hydrophobic layer prevents further water passage. This achieves oil-water separation with a dehydration efficiency of over 99%.
