SAF2507 Super Duplex Wedge Wire Filter Element Johnson Type.The wedge wire filter element, also known as a V-shaped wire filter or Johnson screen element, is a cylindrical filtration device precision-manufactured by resistance welding stainless steel V-shaped (wedge) wires onto longitudinal support rods. Its defining design features a trapezoidal slot profile that narrows towards the outside and widens internally, with the slot openings running continuously around the entire circumference. During production, the apex of each V-wire faces outward while the flat base is welded to the support rods, ensuring exceptional dimensional accuracy and uniformity. Free from transverse weave intersections, this structure enables smooth fluid or gas flow with minimal pressure drop, while delivering outstanding collapse resistance and structural integrity. A: Our standard rating ranges from 20μm to 5000μm, with custom options available. Each slot is precision-welded and laser-inspected online, holding tolerances within ±0.02mm to ensure batch-to-batch uniformity.

2. Q: Which media can these elements handle? What about temperature and pressure limits?
A: Materials include 304, 316L, duplex steel, Hastelloy, etc., suitable for water, oil, gas, acids, alkalis, and slurries. Maximum service temperature reaches 600℃ (material-dependent), and pressure rating can exceed 10MPa based on wall thickness and support design.

3. Q: Will the filter clog quickly? How do you clean it?
A: The trapezoidal slot (narrow outside, wide inside) resists particle jamming, and the smooth surface reduces fouling. Cleaning methods include backwashing (water or air), ultrasonic bath, or chemical soaking. Typically, over 80% of initial flow capacity is retained after 3–5 cleaning cycles.
